You can expect that you will have to move at least 11 times in your lifetime. Most of these moves will be for expected things, such as moving out of your parents' house as an adult or buying your first home. However, there could come a time when a move is a little less expected and a little more exceptional because you must move out-of-state. Moving to a completely new state can feel a little like transitioning into a new country, but it may be more common than you think.
